He initially came to Phoenix for a technical drafting school.
Craig Porter grew up in the small town of Glenwood Springs, Colorado where he enjoyed outdoor activities like downhill skiing, hunting, and fishing just to name a few.
His first job out of school was with a local truss manufacturing company as a draftsman which led to an interest in structural engineering. Craig started his engineering degree classes while continuing to work and in 1994, graduated with his Civil Engineering degree.
Craig’s first position after graduation was with Caruso Turley Scott. He joined another firm for a few years before choosing to return to Caruso Turley Scott, where he enjoys working on larger projects along with mentoring younger engineers. In 2024, Craig was promoted to Partner.
Personal: I am married with 2 children, the oldest is a licensed Esthetician and the youngest is a senior in high school. I enjoy the outdoors; bike riding, hiking, and working on home improvement projects.
