The Churchill Sculpture

The Churchill, opened on September 1, 2018 and introduces shoppers to ten local businesses.  The project is constructed entirely from decommissioned shipping containers. Perhaps the most ambitious feature of the project is a container propped up vertically 30 feet on the southwest corner of the complex. Prominent Phoenix artist Pete Deise cut the container’s steel and twisted it—seemingly flipping it inside out—into a sculpture sure to become an icon of the entire project.
